Matodzi is an Engineer, and Business Leader in transition to sustainable entrepreneurship with deep experience in Strategic Growth, Electrical, and Mechanical Systems. A voracious and agile learner with the ability to understand and adapt to a broad spectrum of industries.
Previously Matodzi was Performance Operations Manager at Alstom for Gibela Project in South Africa, a biggest single rail rolling stock project in the world. Matodzi joined Alstom in May 2014 as Regional Services Manager, since then he has worked in several positions (Product Validation Engineering, Site Management, Project Operations Management, and Project Supply Chain Management). In 2019, Matodzi was nominated Project Mobilisation Manager to lead the mobilisation phase of the New PRASA Trains; Ensure that Trains are delivered safely, support PRASA for depot modernisation program, setup Gibela Technical support organisation in preparation for commercial service.
Matodzi served as Technical Advisor at General Electric on C30ACi Locomotive, the first AC diesel-electric locomo-tive to be introduced to sub-Saharan Africa. He also served as Performance Analyst at Bombardier Transportation’s electrostar for Gautrain Project, in South Africa. Prior to this, Matodzi was Assistant Technical Fleet Owner at Trans-net (Wagon Business) on both container wagons and new build wagons.
Matodzi acquired considerable international experience in management, operations and technical skills on rolling stock in rail industry in France, United Kingdom, Brazil and USA.
Matodzi MUKHUBA holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, a post graduate in Business Administration, certificate in Project Management and currently pursuing (enrolling) a master’s programme in Busi-ness Administration (MBA).
